Alessandra Osti teaches Comparative Public Law and Global Constitutional Law at the State University of Milan. Her areas of interest include the protection of human rights in comparative perspective and the national application of the Fundamental Charter of Rights of the European Union. Between 2013 and 2019, she published the volumes “Person and Liberal Democracy,” “Theory and Practice of Access to Justice. A Comparison of Domestic and Foreign Systems,” and “The Appointment of Constitutional Judges between Independence and Democratic Legitimacy.” A lawyer, between 2004 and 2008 she worked at Todarello & Partners Associated Law Firm in Milan. She holds a law degree and a doctorate in Constitutional Law from the University of Milan, as well as a previous post graduate degree from the School of Specialization for the Legal Professions of the University of Milan. She also holds an LL.M in International and Comparative Public Law from Exeter University (UK) in 2005.
