Lorenzo Sacconi

Lorenzo Sacconi is a full professor of Economic Policy in the Università degli Studi di Milano and coordinator of the PHD program LEES (law ethics and economics for sustainability). Moreover, he is the director of the Inter-University Centre EconomEtica, member of Coordination of the Forum disuguaglianze e diversità and of the scientific council of the Social Balance Group (GBS), president of the Bresciani-Turroni foundation, and until 2022 he was president of the Italian scientific society of Law & Economics (SIDE_ISLE) too. Previously, he was full professor of Economic Policy in the Università di Trento, and owner of the Unicredit Chair in Economic Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibilty. He taught in the universities of Pavia, Bocconi, Cattaneo-LIUC di Castellanza, Piemonte Orientale.
He is founder and president of the first Italian Network in business ethics, and in the past, he was member of the Executive Board of EBEN and collaborated with the Department for Public Administration for the code of conduct of the public employees. He was also member of the Council of Europe Expert Advisory Committee for the “Charter for an Europe of shared responsibility”, and he contributed to the ethical codes of several Italian and multinational companies. He published more than 150 scientific papers such as Etica degli affari (1991), Economia etica e organizzazione (1997), The social contract of the firm (2000), Guida critica alla responsabilità, sociale e al governo di impresa (2005), Corporate social responsibility and corporate governance, the contribution of economic theory and related disciplines (2011), Social capital, corporate social responsibility, economic behavior and performance (2011), Beni comuni e cooperazione (2015).
