Ilaria Viarengo teaches International Protection of Human Rights and Private International Law at the State University of Milan. She has been director of the Department of International, Legal and Historical-Political Studies since 2017 and a member of the Academic Senate from 2018 to 2021. Speaker and chair in many international conferences, seminars, masters and postgraduate training courses in Italy and abroad, conducted in Italian, English and German, particularly on issues of private international fami ly law and international protection of human rights. Coordinated and participates in several European projects co – funded by the European Commission particularly within the framework of DG Justice. Member of the scientific committee of several journals and scientific series, she has been a lawyer since 1991 and a member of the “Law of the European Union” Commission of the Milan Bar Association.
