Maria Teresa Carinci teaches Labor Law and Progressive Labor Law at the University of Milan. She is Director of the Department of Private Law and History of Law, member of the Scientific Committee of the Regional Observatory on the Labor Market – Arpal Umbria and founder and member of the Centre of Research on European and Transnational Dispute Settlement. Until 2013 she was President of the Joint Committee on the phenomenon of mobbing at the University of Milan. She has been a Visiting Scholar at Columbia University, as well as a Visiting Professor at Beijing University and the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) in the University of Cergy Paris. She has authored over one hundred publications in the field of labor law including several monographs, handbooks, codes and editorships. She received her Ph.D. in Labor Law from the University of Bologna.
