In Human Hall, she follows the Integration and acceptance of children and families of foreign origins project
Monica Massari Sociology of Memory, Global Society and Rights and Comparative Social Systems lecturer at the University of Milan. Her research activities mainly concern the forced migration throughout the Mediterranean Sea and the forms of exploitation of migrants in Europe with particular attention to gender dynamics, processes of social construction of otherness and new forms of racism and discrimination. She currently coo rdinates the research unit of the University of Milan partner in the HORIZON2020 project “ITHACA-Interconnecting Histories and Archives for Migrant Agency: Entangled Narratives Across Europe and the Mediterranean Region,” of the PRIN-2020 Project “MOBS – Mobilities, solidarities and imaginaries across the borders: the mountain, the sea, the urban and the rural as spaces of transit and encounters” (2022 -2025) and is the Scientific Supervisor of the HORIZON Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions 2021 Global Fellowshi p project entitled “MEMODIAS. Memory Practices of the Afghan and Somali Diasporas in the USA and Italy” at the Department of International, Legal and Historical-Political Studies the State University.
