Cinzia Scarpino is Associate Professor of Anglo-American Literature and Culture at the University of Milan. Her research interests and publications range from American literature of the 1930s and 1940s and the second half of the 20th century to environmental studies, television series studies and the relationship between law and literature. She conducted a long-term archival research project on the Italian critical reception, translation, and publishing history of American novels of the 1930s and 1940s at the Mondadori Foundation in Milan, which culminated in her third monograph, Dear Mr. Mondadori. American Fiction in the Mondadori Catalogue 1930-1968 (Milan, 2022). She is currently working on the Italian critical reception and publishing history of Second Wave feminist non-fiction. She actively participates in international research projects and collaborates as an editor and peer reviewer for academic journals in the field of American Studies.
