A Full Professor in Rural Economics and Estimation at the University of Milan, he is the Rector’s Delegate for Development Cooperation in Agribusiness and Environment and a delegate in the University Coordination for Development Cooperation. He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Center for the Study of Estimation and Territorial Economics (CeSET). His main research topics are in agricultural and environmental economics, agri-environmental and rural development policy. In particular, the following are the subject of recent studies and research in national and international projects: the development of circular economy decision -making models in agriculture, the sustainable use of water in agriculture, the analysis of agricultural land use dynamics, the interrelationships between food production and consumption at the regional scale and rural development in low -income countries. He has authored over 100 scientific publications.
